How Acas is governed

Independent Council governance within the DWS sponsorship framework.

Acas should be governed through an independent Council and executive leadership appropriate to an executive NDPB. The Council sets strategic direction and protects the impartial character of the service.

The Acas Framework Document records sponsorship, accountability, governance, functions, records, reporting, finance and the relationship with ministers. Operational conciliation and advice must remain impartial between the parties.

Appointments, conflicts and delegations must be recorded through the normal public-body machinery rather than through platform rank or server ownership.
